Senior Software Architect
Softel-USA seeks a Senior Software Architect in Norwalk, CT. Design product architecture for/guide development of advanced digital video transport processing systems. Study/participate in definition of key evolving industry standards including those from MPEG, CableLabs, SMPTE, ATSC. Define potential impact on existing Softel-USA products. BS in Physics or Engineering + 5 yrs exp. Expert on DSM-CC technology, elements of MHP, GEM-based standards including OCAP, ACAP, OpenTV, other evolving TV interactivity standards. Expert on digital video transport streams w/detailed understanding of structure, construction, analysis of transport streams. Strong knowledge of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standards, structures. Must have authority to work in the U.S.
