MXF push at NAB
The
Softel Group

demonstrating the companies new MXF products, designed to encode
ancillary data (such as captions and subtitles) in to the requisite MXF

HBO has improved their ability
to
repurpose and re-edit captioned content by adding the ability to
capture editable caption files from previously captioned video using
Swift Capture Pro. As video clips are reused or re-edited, HBO now has
the ability to easily edit the caption data in conjunction with the
video.

Keeping Up with Care
As the vast majority of
Softel-USA
customers do, a number have recently renewed their Tier Two Care
contracts for another year. Many are taking advantage of the
opportunity to receive a free upgrade to Swift v6 when it ships by
committing to a second year of Care as they renew. Amongst the
companies to renew most recently were WGBH Media Access Group, Visual
Sound, Point 360, Closed Captioning Services, VisionText/Ascent Media,
E! Entertainment Networks, and Comcast Media Center.
