The SE3027E is a professional 1RU rack mounting unit capable of a number of different functions relating to the display of teletext and teletext subtitle pages.

The SE3027E2 version has two decoder modules and can thus output two separate teletext pages.

To decode a single Teletext page or a cycle of sub pages from an input teletext data signal and to output them in PAL or component RGBS format.
To decode teletext subtitles from a video input and overlay them onto the video picture in colour in a black box background. Output in PAL format only.
Teletext page selection is made using a front panel thumbwheel switch or by optional serial remote keypad.

The SE3027E is normally fitted with the western European teletext character set IC, but this can be replaced with Arabic, Cyrillic or other language fonts as appropriate.

The PAL output is designed for cable use. Users requiring full broadcast specification PAL coding should refer to Softel for advice on sourcing an external PAL coder.
