The Softel
SE3048 is a 2U rack mounted unit designed to provide
up to 16 TV lines of teletext data compliant with
EBU, WST and CCIR specifications for the transmission
of teletext pages and data broadcast.
The SE3048
is offered by Softel on both Vortex and Cyclone teletext
management systems as the output device for teletext
broadcast, and is designed to hold a copy of the teletext
transmission page database whose pages may be updated
by the teletext users.
Once the
teletext pages are loaded from the management system,
the SE3048 will continue to output a full teletext
service after a restart even if communications to
either Vortex or Cyclone temporary fails. The SE3048
is designed for 24 hour, 365 days per year operation.

programme ID and PDC subsystems and hexadecimal
page options.
